Since joining South Bay Hearing in 2016, Dr. Ian Gerszewski has been recognized for his unparalleled expertise and patient-focused approach. By using a customized process that aligns treatments with each person’s lifestyle, needs, and goals, he consistently achieves long-term success for his patients in Torrance and worldwide. Holding a Bachelor of Science in psychology and earning his doctorate in audiology from the University of Utah, he completed his residency at the Ear, Nose and Throat Center of Utah. A former board member of the Student Academy of Audiology and board-certified by the American Board of Audiology, Dr. Gerszewski was honored as South Bay’s Favorite Audiologist in 2021.
Dr. Young earned his doctorate in audiology from Vanderbilt University’s top-ranked program in Nashville. He also holds an interdisciplinary bachelor’s from the University of California Santa Barbara, which combined course work in audiology, biology, and neuropsychology. As a South Bay native diagnosed with moderately severe hearing loss at age 3, Dr. Young has firsthand insight into overcoming auditory challenges. He previously served at Vanderbilt’s Bill Wilkerson Center, specializing in pediatric hearing aids, adult diagnostics, and vestibular care. Now back in California at South Bay Hearing, he provides compassionate, expert care informed by his own personal journey.
Dr. Johnson earned his doctorate through the San Diego State University/University of California San Diego audiology program and his undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of Southern California. A Torrance native, he had his hearing tested as a young child by Dr. McBride, founder of South Bay Hearing! He first worked as a lab technician and hearing aid dispenser at the practice before returning as an audiologist. He has volunteered with the California Academy of Audiology, the Lion’s Club, and local schools, and he provided health screenings at the 2015 Special Olympics. Dedicated to community service, cultural exchange, and languages, he delivers compassionate hearing care.
Dr. Minasian earned her bachelor’s degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences (minor in gerontology) from San Diego State University and her doctorate in audiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She completed her externship at UCLA Health, is Lyric-certified, graduated from the LEND program in 2024, and received a 2022 CaptionCall scholarship. Diagnosed with hearing loss at three months old, she offers unique insight and compassionate care. Dr. Minasian values the supportive environment at South Bay Hearing, and what she loves most about her career is the opportunity to form strong, personal connections with her patients, offering tailored support and personalized care.
