Dr. Lucia Arriola-Story, Au.D. has been providing audiological services to Southwest Colorado and the 4-Corners region for over 25 years. The focus of her career has been to not only treat her patients with professional care but also as if they were part of the family. Lucia moved to Southwest Colorado in 1997 and opened Montezuma Hearing Clinic shortly after that while continuing to work on her masters and doctorate degree in audiology. Since that time, she has focused her life on her faith, family and profession. Montezuma Hearing has grown as the parent company to MHC Blanding, Durango Audiology and San Juan Hearing Center in Farmington. What was once Lucia’s solo practice, now serves 4 locations and employs 10 like-minded Team Members.
Scott grew up in the Cortez area and attended Fort Lewis College in Durango receiving a B.S. in Biology. He entered the hearing profession in 2016 following a 17 year career as a high school teacher and principal. Scott wanted to help his wife Lucia Arriola-Story build the family business and shares her vision and mission to provide quality hearing care to the residents of the 4-Corners. Along with his Hearing Aid Provider license, Scott holds a master’s degree in Education Administration and Juris Doctorate.
I grew up on a Cattle Ranch in Monticello, Utah, spending the better part of my summers riding in the mountains with my grandparents. I have been married to Gib Glazner for 25 years and we have an 18- year-old daughter Tori. I enjoy being outdoors; gardening, riding motorcycles, 4-wheeling in the mountains or walking on a beach with family and close friends. I started working at Montezuma Hearing Clinic in June of 2013. I love connecting with patients and working closely with my work family. We are a team with the common goal of helping people improve the quality of their day to day lives, with better hearing.
I was hired at Montezuma Hearing Clinic in August 11, 2021 as a Patient Care Coordinator in the front office. I enjoy greeting patients in person and on the phone, assisting them with check in, and getting them to the appropriate hearing care provider when they come in. Working in the hearing industry is new for me. I enjoy learning new things and this office is a great place to learn. I grew up on Squaw Point on a farm where we raised beans and wheat. I live in Lewis CO with my husband Michael and our two children Mikayla and Talon. I try to spend as much time outdoors gardening, fishing and hunting with my family and friends.
I started with Montezuma Hearing Clinic in 2018. I met Lucia when she was fitting my husband with new hearing aids. I was hired as a Technician, then Front Desk Receptionist, I am currently a Patient Care Coordinator. I feel very blessed to be a part of this amazing practice. I love that I am able to help our Veterans and our patients with all their hearing care needs. I really enjoy visiting with our patients in their homes 1 day a week. Our patient’s unconditional kindness reminds me that blessings are in every one we meet, and shown in everything we do. My goal is to be a blessing each and every day and to continue to go above and beyond for our patients.
Working with an Audiologist that follows best practices (just like Dr. Cliff does in his clinics) is the key to a life-transforming hearing care experience.
That’s why our network was created, to help people just like you find a local audiologist that follows Best Practices.
Reconnect with everything you’ve been missing. The Guided Hearing Experience is the first step to understanding whether you may have hearing loss, and is a helpful way to prepare for a full evaluation with a certified provider.
Untreated hearing loss can slowly affect more than communication. It can increase the risk of isolation, impact mood, and contribute to cognitive decline over time. The good news is that taking the first step toward understanding your hearing is simple and empowering.
Hearing is complex, and an online screener only tells part of the story. HearingLoss.com–certified professionals provide the highest level of clinical and patient care to give you a complete and meaningful understanding of your hearing.
