Dr. Calyn Russ-Whitt, an audiologist, Leadership Shawnee alumnus, and hearing care patient herself, is dedicated to enriching lives. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from the University of Redlands and an audiology doctorate from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Her experience spans ENT clinics, audiology private practice, and a clinical externship at a nonprofit speech/hearing center. Diagnosed with progressive hearing loss at age 8, Dr. Russ-Whitt wore hearing aids throughout her youth and later received bilateral cochlear implants. She enjoys Sooners football, hiking, kayaking, concerts, and discovering new restaurants with family and friends.
Dr. Nicole Smith is an audiologist who earned her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders with a minor in gerontology from Oklahoma State University, and her audiology doctorate from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Smith’s experience includes ENT and private practice settings, with advanced training in vestibular evaluation. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, through which she has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology. Dr. Smith is also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She enjoys reading, exploring new foods, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Heather Goulart has been passionate about American Sign Language since childhood, learning to sign before speaking. This early exposure deepened with her formation of a high school ASL club alongside a deaf classmate. After earning a degree in American Sign Language interpretation, she became a certified interpreter in Virginia and later relocated to Oklahoma to be closer to family and friends. With extensive experience in deaf and hard-of-hearing programs and working with deaf children in school systems, Heather works to enhance language and communication access for those with hearing loss. Outside the office, she enjoys gaming, reading, and spending quality time with her husband and dog.
Working with an Audiologist that follows best practices (just like Dr. Cliff does in his clinics) is the key to a life-transforming hearing care experience.
That’s why our network was created, to help people just like you find a local audiologist that follows Best Practices.
Reconnect with everything you’ve been missing. The Guided Hearing Experience is the first step to understanding whether you may have hearing loss, and is a helpful way to prepare for a full evaluation with a certified provider.
Untreated hearing loss can slowly affect more than communication. It can increase the risk of isolation, impact mood, and contribute to cognitive decline over time. The good news is that taking the first step toward understanding your hearing is simple and empowering.
Hearing is complex, and an online screener only tells part of the story. HearingLoss.com–certified professionals provide the highest level of clinical and patient care to give you a complete and meaningful understanding of your hearing.
