Dr. Karen Melton, Au.D., earned her master’s from the University of Georgia and her doctorate in audiology from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. She’s co-owner of Hearing Care Partners and, guided by best practices, is leading the movement to medically treat hearing loss and the associated cognitive deprivation. Dr. Melton was trained by Dr. Keith Darrow, the only Harvard- and M.I.T.-trained neuroscientist and audiologist in the world. Dr. Melton was awarded the Key Contributor Award for excellence in serving the community and is currently serving on the Board for the Missouri Hearing Society. She and her husband have three children and enjoy camping and traveling.
David Shepard joined our team in 2016, during the merge with Yon Hearing Instruments. David is a board-certified hearing instrument specialist with an AAS degree in hearing instrument science from Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri. Since 2014 he has been on staff as adjunct faculty with the hearing instrument science program at Ozarks Technical Community College – helping bring well-educated practitioners into the hearing health care field. David also has an S.S. degree in communication from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. He values compassion and is very passionate about helping people hear what they have been missing.
Lee Supitilov earned his associate’s degree in hearing instrument science from Ozarks Technical Community College. He had experience working at another Missouri practice before joining Hearing Care Partners as a hearing instrument specialist. Connecting people to better hearing is what brings him happily to work every day. Making lives better through better hearing on a daily basis is very rewarding. He also appreciates the way everyone at the office works toward the same goal, and how the team is like family. Outside of work, Lee enjoys time with his grown son and daughter and most anything to do with the outdoors.
Lianna is a licensed hearing instrument specialist with a degree in secondary education from Southeast Missouri State University. Due to congenital single-sided deafness, Lianna has lived with hearing loss in her left ear all of her life. After being fitted with a CROS device to partially restore her hearing, she was inspired to become a hearing instrument specialist and share the gift of better hearing with as many people as possible. Lianna is married to her best friend, Greg, and together they have a son named Jesse. You can find her out on the lake kayaking or on the hiking trails with her dog, Buster Beans, doing a bit of geocaching.
