ApprovedAlex Crippin, President of Hearing Associates, holds a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University in Psychology. With a background that blends counseling and technology, he leads the practice with a focus on patient-centered care and team development. Born in Sioux City, Iowa, and raised in Storm Lake, Alex now lives in Mason City with his wife, Laura, and their two children, Lincoln and London.
Dr. Tanya Harper Rowe earned a Bachelor of Arts in speech and hearing science from the University of Iowa, a Master of Arts in audiology from Northwestern University, and a Doctor of Audiology from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences. A native of Hampton, Iowa, she was introduced to audiology through a student internship at Hearing Associates. She now lives in Mason City with her husband, John. They enjoy traveling to see their three sons, Jared, Jordan, and Justin.
Rachael Dolezal earned a Bachelor of Arts in both speech and hearing science and psychology from the University of Iowa, followed by a Master of Arts in audiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Initially drawn to speech pathology, her interest in the mechanics of hearing and technology led her to audiology. She lives in Mason City, Iowa, and enjoys reading, embroidery, and spending time with her family. Her clinical focus includes diagnostics and amplification for children. Her clinical style blends evidence-based care with a warm, supportive approach.
Dr. Christine Heintskill received her Bachelor of Applied Arts in communication disorders and her Doctor of Audiology from Central Michigan University. Her clinical interest in audiology began during a placement while pursuing speech-language pathology. Now practicing in Iowa and Minnesota, she offers diagnostic and rehabilitative hearing care. She lives in Fertile with her husband, Keegan, their two children, and three dogs. She enjoys hiking, camping, sewing, and cultivating her indoor-plant collection.
Caroline Cross earned a Bachelor of Arts in speech and hearing science and another in psychology from the University of Iowa. She later completed her Doctor of Audiology at the same institution. She also holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies in vestibular sciences and disorders from Salus University. Caroline specializes in hearing conservation and adult diagnostics. She lives in Mason City, Iowa, with her husband, Justin, and their cats, Willow and Ash. She enjoys baking and reading.
Dr. Bryce Phillips earned a Bachelor of Science in social work from Brigham Young University – Idaho, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders and a Doctor of Audiology from the University of North Texas. He discovered audiology while working in social services and enjoys helping patients of all ages improve communication. He lives in Mason City, Iowa, with his wife, Kristen, and their four children – William, Emily, Fredrik, and Katelyn. He enjoys movies and family hikes.
Carmen Wickering holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Cardinal Stritch University and a Bachelor of Science in human services and psychology from Buena Vista University. After careers in early-childhood education and social work, she pursued hearing health to combine her technical interests with her desire to help others. Carmen lives in Mason City, Iowa, with her husband, Patrick. They have three children, Alana, Brady, and Peyton. She enjoys baking and outdoor family activities.
