Chelsea Walters, co-owner of Family Hearing, is a board-certified professional in Hearing Instrument Science. Earning her degree from the University of Northern Colorado, she has since devoted her career to transforming lives through speech therapy, optimizing classroom audio, and fostering an enhanced quality of life through improved hearing. Chelsea’s love for music and her commitment to community engagement drives her to connect clients with meaningful sounds. Beyond her professional endeavors, she collects vinyl records, attends concerts, and cherishes time with her loved ones. She and her husband, whom she met at Red Rocks, enjoy travel and outdoor adventures with their two sons.
Jennifer La Borde graduated with honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder. A member of her university’s audiology society, ASL (American Sign Language) club, and National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, her studies required her to practice hearing evaluations. She tested her parents, and both showed signs of hearing loss. This connection deepened her love for helping people reconnect with their lives. Proud to be co-owner of Family Hearing, Jennifer loves being part of a team that is excited to provide exceptional patient care. She loves reading and spending time with her family.
Dr. Anna Hopkins earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in speech and hearing sciences and psychology from Indiana University and her Doctor of Audiology degree from Purdue University. She completed a fourth-year externship at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, Colo. Inspired by her mother’s hearing loss and the physical, social, and emotional impacts, Dr. Hopkins felt a calling to audiology. “I aim to help people who live with hearing loss and tinnitus,” she says. Outside the office, the Indiana native treasures quality time with her friends, family, and beloved cat. She also enjoys reading, hiking, and making uplifting music as a flute player in a Denver community band.
Tyana holds a bachelor’s degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences from Metropolitan State University and she’s a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Starting as a patient care coordinator at Family Hearing, she advanced to become a hearing instrument specialist. Her passion for hearing health care grew from shadowing an audiologist, witnessing the transformative impact of hearing technology. Tyana stays updated with the latest advancements in the field and was honored with an Outstanding First Impression Award from Audigy. Outside of work, Tyana enjoys traveling, backpacking, and hiking with her husband and dog. She’s also an avid reader who enjoys getting lost in new worlds.
