Melissa Palmer, Au.D., CCC-A, owner of Clayton Audiology in Clayton, NC, has been helping patients improve hearing and quality of life since 1996. She provides hearing health care, specializing in hearing diagnostics, tinnitus assessments, hearing aid fittings, auditory processing evaluations, and cochlear implant evaluations. She is a certified provider of tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT). Known for her patient-centered approach, Dr. Palmer builds long-term patient relationships through compassionate care, thorough follow-up, and ongoing education. She is passionate about raising hearing-health awareness, regularly promoting early detection and prevention of hearing loss.
Briana Rodriguez, Au.D., is an audiologist at Clayton Audiology in Clayton, NC. She earned her doctorate in audiology from the University of South Florida and holds an undergraduate background in aging sciences. Dr. Rodriguez specializes in adult diagnostics and hearing aid services, with experience serving veteran, geriatric, and Spanish-speaking populations. She is expanding her expertise to include tinnitus, auditory processing, and implantable devices. Passionate about the profession, she currently serves as a member at large on the NCAA board. She has previously served on boards focused on student mentorship and patient advocacy and has experience as an undergraduate instructor.
Jill Setser, office manager, has been working with Dr. Melissa Palmer at Clayton Audiology in Clayton, NC, since January 2017. She enjoys meeting new patients and helping existing ones. She especially likes that moment when patients share new sounds they’ve heard after being professionally fitted with hearing aids. Jill lives in Clayton with her husband, Goose. She has a bonus daughter, Hannah, and a spoiled mini goldendoodle, Kona.
Kristin Zuk, office assistant, has been working at Clayton Audiology in Clayton, NC, since October 2023. She loves being able to greet and assist patients. Kristin recently relocated to the Clayton area from New Jersey with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, she loves to read and complete jigsaw puzzles.
Harmony Baker has joined Clayton Audiology in Clayton, NC, as an audiology assistant. She is passionate about helping others and making a positive difference in people’s lives. Her interest in audiology is personal because she has a cochlear implant herself. Living with hearing loss has given her firsthand experience with the positive impact that hearing healthcare can offer, and it has inspired her to support others on their own hearing journeys.
