Timothy Aland has been with Chesapeake Hearing Centers since 1992 and enjoys providing services to our community. A longtime resident of Maryland, he has lived on Kent Island since 1987 and is involved in his church and community. He has served Christ Church on the Vestry as a Sunday school teacher and youth leader. A father of three adult children, he enjoys the outdoors, coaching lacrosse, and singing with the Queen Anne’s Chorale.
Dr. Caroline Aland has been a resident of Kent Island and a private practitioner with Chesapeake Hearing Centers since 1986. She earned her master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her doctorate from the University of Florida. Dr. Aland’s passion for helping people has touched lives at Womack Army Hospital, Durham VA Hospital, and UNC Hospital’s ENT Clinic. Appointed by the governor of Maryland, she served on the State Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Dr. Aland’s compassion, professionalism, and expertise are all valuable assets to our practice and our patients. You can see her at many of our locations.
Dr. Rachel Lam earned her bachelor of science degree in speech-language pathology and audiology and her doctorate from Towson University. Dr. Lam’s clinical experience includes training at Towson University’s Institute for Well-Being, Live Better Hearing, Community Audiology Services, and Johns Hopkins Cochlear Implant Center. She has special interests in diagnostic testing, hearing aids, and cochlear implants. Helping patients maintain the ability to communicate with others and stay active in their community is what drew Dr. Lam to the field of audiology. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
Amy Pan earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. She played NCAA Division III volleyball and worked as a student athletic trainer while attending college. Amy has served our patients since 2014 and is licensed to dispense hearing aids in the state of Maryland. Our Kent Island and Easton patients see Amy for routine cleanings, adjustments, and troubleshooting of their hearing aids. She also serves as the chief hearing aid coordinator for Chesapeake Hearing Centers and ensures best practices across our eight offices. Amy is a sports enthusiast and has long been an active volunteer in her local community.
Kristin Shaklee began her career in 2005 at an ENT office but found audiology specifically fascinating and transitioned to that part of the practice in 2012. She has worked in audiology ever since, starting with an office role and progressively working her way up. Licensed as an audiology assistant in 2022, she’s certified as otolaryngology personnel and also serves as a hearing aid coordinator. Kristin loves the challenge of cleaning and repairing hearing aids, and the joy of helping people hear better. Born and raised in Maryland, Kristin enjoys the outdoors with her husband Ross, son Charlie, and dog Lilly, often going camping, biking, fishing, and boating. She values the familial and team-oriented culture at Chesapeake Hearing Centers, where communication and teamwork are paramount.
