ApprovedAnne-Marie Calkins is a board-certified audiologist who has been in practice since 2004. She is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and earned her master’s degree in audiology at Ohio University in Athens. Dr. Calkins later obtained her Doctor of Audiology from Salus University’s school of audiology in Pennsylvania. She is a fellow of the Academy of Audiology and member-at-large of the Tennessee Academy of Audiology. A firm believer in best practices, Dr. Calkins is committed to her community. She has served on the board of North Port Kiwanis, and is a member of Cookeville Noon Rotary.
Lisa Davidson earned her Master of Arts degree in Audiology from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1986. She later received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University School of Audiology in Pennsylvania. Dr. Davidson has served as chairman and member of the Tennessee Board for Communication Disorders and member at large for the Tennessee Academy of Audiology. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. Dr. Davidson has been in practice in McMinnville and Cookeville TN with Dr. Norwood since 1988.
Raiza Carmenate-Nichols graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in communication sciences and disorders. She earned her doctorate in audiology from the school in 2021. Dr. Carmenate-Nichols’ patient-care experience spans a diverse range of Tampa-area institutions – from private practices and ENT offices to hospitals, including the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital. Inspired by her own hearing challenges at an early age, Dr. Carmenate-Nichols is passionate about helping others hear and live their best.
Dr. Reese Dempsey earned her Bachelor of Science in speech-language pathology and audiology from Middle Tennessee State University and her Doctor of Audiology from Illinois State University. Dr. Dempsey is a certified tinnitus management specialist, bringing extensive clinical expertise from private practices, ENT settings, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s newborn hearing screening program. She provides exceptional hearing care at Audiology & Hearing Center’s Cookeville and McMinnville locations – the latter serving the Upper Cumberland area since 1988. Dr. Dempsey values private practice’s close patient connections and collaborative approach to audiology.
