ApprovedDr. Boddorf earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees in communication disorders from Penn State and her Au.D. in audiology from Salus University. An audiologist in Lock Haven prior to joining us, Dr. Boddorf prioritizes being up to date on the most advanced technology and employing best practices in helping Albrecht Audiology patients achieve their hearing goals. Hailing from Punxsutawney, the rest of us in the office think she is a better representative of that fine community than Phil himself!
Dr. Bethaney Tessitore earned her B.S. in Psychology at Pennsylvania State University, her M.S. in Audiology at the University of Pittsburgh, and her Doctorate in Audiology at Salus University. She has practiced audiology in ENT offices, nonprofit agencies, teaching hospitals, and private practices along the East Coast. Dr. Tessitore has volunteered her time and expertise serving others on several mission trips in the Czech Republic and Zambia. She also knows American Sign Language. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and is board-certified in audiology. In her free time, Dr. Tessitore enjoys traveling, the beach, local festivals, and cheering on the Nittany Lions.
Originally from Lansing, Michigan, Dr. Maya Schoonover earned her B.A. in Psychology from Hope College and went on to receive her Doctorate of Audiology from Northwestern University. She completed her clinical externship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Her areas of focus include hearing aids, tinnitus treatment, implantable hearing solutions, and audiology research. Dr. Schoonover is Board Certified in Audiology, a licensed audiologist in both Pennsylvania and Michigan, and a member of the American Academy of Audiology. Outside the clinic, she enjoys hiking, running, and diving into creative craft projects. She’s passionate about using best practices to help patients reconnect through improved hearing and a better quality of life.
Sandy’s experience includes 29 years in Hearing Healthcare. Before joining the Albrecht Audiology family, she managed an audiology office in Altoona. In addition to her office management role, including the complex job of dealing with insurance companies, she’s well on her way to becoming a hearing aid dispenser, already involved in the maintenance of hearing instruments and assisting in educating patients about their hearing aids. She is the person you will probably see if you come in with a problem with one of your instruments. She enjoys spending time with her husband and her two young grandchildren.
Born and raised in Happy Valley, Alyssa Johns graduated from State College Area High School in 2015 and went on to work in assisted living for many years before joining Albrecht Audiology in 2024. In her role as patient care coordinator, she’s often the first point of contact as individuals start their healthy-hearing journey. Alyssa values building lasting connections and supporting patients on their path to better health, empowered communication, and an improved quality of life. She still keeps in touch with many of the assisted-living residents she’s met over her career. Outside the office, Alyssa enjoys taking long walks, caring for her plants, and spending time with friends and family.
Working with an Audiologist that follows best practices (just like Dr. Cliff does in his clinics) is the key to a life-transforming hearing care experience.
That’s why our network was created, to help people just like you find a local audiologist that follows Best Practices.

Reconnect with everything you’ve been missing. The Guided Hearing Experience is the first step to understanding whether you may have hearing loss, and is a helpful way to prepare for a full evaluation with a certified provider.

Untreated hearing loss can slowly affect more than communication. It can increase the risk of isolation, impact mood, and contribute to cognitive decline over time. The good news is that taking the first step toward understanding your hearing is simple and empowering.

Hearing is complex, and an online screener only tells part of the story. HearingLoss.com–certified professionals provide the highest level of clinical and patient care to give you a complete and meaningful understanding of your hearing.
